Violet Shirt

colette violet shirt

Colette does it again with their Violet shirt pattern. Here is a shirt that is fun to sew, easy to make, and the perfect blend of a vintage look with a modern fit. I have always loved shirts with Peter Pan collars, but have had a hard time finding one because I have a long torso and the never fit. I added a couple of inches to the bottom of the pattern and voila! Perfect fit. Plus, I’m in love with the sleeves! They remind me so much of my grandmother, as she used to wear shirts that looked a lot like this. I made this one out of Cut Out & Keep by Heather Moore, in Proteas. I plan on making two more in solid voile’s┬áto see how it will look with a light airy fabric. I can’t wait to make the Beignet skirt to match!
