flying kites

If you have been in the shop anytime in the past week than you already have seen, and heard, me gushing over our new fabric kite display. How could I not be proud of ALL the nido ladies for such a job well done.

The process was simple now that we have Kaitlin as our team leader! A quick glance at our Pinterest page and we found this easy tutorial on how to make a kite from Style Me Pretty. We chose a summery fabric pallet to work with, then pulled together thin wooden dowels, kitchen string, a hot glue gun, a branch trimmer and invisible thread to work with and then bam! the staff went to work on making fabric kites for the shop. Good times were had with everyone adding this or that to the project.

IMG_1393The photos really do not give these kits justice! They are really adorable with their fabric tails and airy feel.

IMG_1416They could not have turned out better! I advise all to try making one this summer- as they are both functional and beautiful.
