nido is excited to announce that we are a stop on this summer’s YOTH and Magpie Trunk Show tour!

magpie8Join us Wednesday, June 1st for a trunk show and the chance to scoop up some of their lovely yarns! TWO classes will also be on the calendar from these two talented gals.


Yarn on the House (YOTH) yarns are lovingly curated by Little Brother and Big Sister, dyed in a beautiful dye house in Maine and then shipped from their home in Woodinville, WA. Big Sister, Ve, will be joining nido during this trunk show to share the beauty that is YOTH. Get ready to swoon over sophisticated color palettes that are as delicious to the eye as they are to knit!

Magpie Fibers is a luxury yarn company based in historic downtown Frederick, Maryland, curated by the amazing Dami. Her yarn boasts bright, stunning colors in seven different weights and blends of superwash merino, cashmere, and silk.

We cannot wait to have these two yarns in the shop!

Thursday, June 2nd
5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Dami will be teaching “Mosaic Basics.” Her course will focus on colorwork basics, to teach you the know-how to master the beautiful art of mosaic knitting. You will be amazed at how easy it is to use slipped stitches, knits and purls to create stunning colorwork motifs without the fuss.

Ve’s Tips & Tricks
Thursday, June 2nd
7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Veronika from YOTH will be teaching “Ve’s Tips & Tricks,” a fun talk on Ve’s favorite knitting secrets! She will chat about various techniques, helpful tips and useful resources she uses to help take your knitting from homemade to handcrafted.
