Recently we added Semi-Fantastic Mr. Fox & Mostly Marvelous Ms. Rabbit to our collection of single patterns. As always, my photographs really do not do these adorable stuffed animals justice. The patterns were made by Annie of Bird and Little Bird and are a wonderful gift idea for a little one in your life. Annie is a local artist whose popular blog is widely known & loved.  She also takes custom orders for her stuffed animals at her etsy shop.  nido is pleased to announce that Annie will be teaching a workshop on both the Semi-Fantastic Mr. Fox & Mostly Marvelous Ms. Rabbit in our next class session!  YEAH! Our schedule is being made now & will be posted as soon as it is done so stay tuned. And when we say local we’re talking made in Burlington local! Stephanie McKay of Rivulette dropped off her handmade yarn on Friday.   Made from 100% merino wool and dyed in vibrant colors in small batches, this yarn is to dye for (HA!) Most popular among her goodies is 32 flavors, featured in the spring/summer issue of Knit 1 magazine, but I personally am in love with the turquoise blue.

nido now carries Marimekko fabric–& let me tell you–you are in for a real treat!  A Finnish fabric company known for their bold designs, Marimekko has been creating original graphic designs for over 55 years!  We are now offering a small selection of their beautiful fabric–ranging from their classic flower print,  Pieni Unikko, which they are widely known for, to Taikamylly, from their 2009 holiday collection. Think drapes, tablecloths and fabric art for your wall!
