My dear friend Cindy made me one of the luckiest gals at nido last month when she presented me with Ysolda Teague’s Peaks Island Hood out of Swans Island yarn in teal–oh my it is BEAUTIFUL! I had meant to display it at the shop, at least for a little bit, however I can’t seem to stop wearing it!
nido carries many Ysolda patterns but the Peak Island Hood has always been a favorite of mine. And Swans Island yarn–the subtle variation of color alone is gorgeous but knitted up in the hood is just amazing!
A special thank you goes out to Cindy–as you can see i LOVE my gift!

A NEW batch of Ozark Handspun has made its way to nido & the colors are lovelier than ever! The textured yarn is 65% mohair & 35% wool, think, thin & curly! I have always thought that a very simple scarf would look AMAZING knit up in the Ozark because of its uniqueness. What would you knit?
Heather from Barely Measured taught her signature clutch class this week at nido & I just had to share her photos.
Super cute, right? I had the pleasure of making a clutch with Heather as well & I must say–I like the girls style. She is AMAZING at eyeballing everything (I double checked the measurements because the virgo in me could not go unmeasured!) and her clutch is so versatile & classy! I’m thinking this may be THE holiday gift this year!
Heather is running a wonderful promotion on both her etsy site & her blog right now so click on over & check out how you can win one of her fabulous one-of-a-kind clutches!

I am LOVING my Marian cowl right now! Made with just one skein of Twinkle soft chunky yarn, this pattern is a keeper–as many of you know already since last year it was my number one holiday gift to friends! We have plenty of new colors of Twinkle to choose from & carry a nice variety of Jane Richmond patterns so accept that fall is here & accessorise yourself with a colorful, warm Marian cowl!
Don’t you just LOVE the name of the collection? Innocent Crush. Brings back memories of sipping on lemonade at the lake with my girlfriends, stealing glances at the boys who were always showing off…blushing…oh my! Well, Anna Maria Horner’s latest collection has just arrived at the shop & not only will the name bring you back to a time of innocent crushes, it will also inspire you to sew so many wonderful things!
