
The perfect gift! Simple, beautiful & let’s face it–what woman wouldn’t LOVE to have the calming sent of lavender in her delicates drawer–these lavender sachets should be on your “to make” list this year! Our sachets are sewn from voile & linen & filled with pure french lavender buds. Here is what you do:
1 lavender sachet
materials:
1 6 X 6 square of voile of your choice. For this set I used Anna Maria Horner’s Little Honey in Berry from her Little Folks collection & Shattered in Sun from her Innocent Crush collection.
1 6 X 6 square linen of your choice. I used Robert Kaufman Essex in Natural.
Approximately 1.25 cups French lavender buds.

Starting 1 inch from a corner & using a 1/4 inch seam allowance, sew right sides together.Sew along all four sides, stopping one inch after turning your last corner.You should have 4 inches open between two of the corners.
Clip your corners.
Using a point turner, turn your fabric right side out & press flat.
Fill with French lavender until you have about 2 fingers of room left at the top.
Pin closed.
Using a zigzag stitch & 1/4 inch seam allowance sew along the perimeter of your sachet. Be sure to move lavender over as you turn each corner.
Stack a set of 3 coordinating or contrasting sachets together & tie with a ribbon.
