my first knit sweater part 1

Here is the start of my first EVER knit sweater! Inspired by Stephanie, I have really tried to make a go at knitting this winter. Maybe my sweater knitting is more like leaping in since the Cecchette sweater by Marnie MacLean is knit out of sock yarn. Wish me luck!

peace fleece yarn

nido now carries Peace Fleece yarn from southwestern Maine. A husband and wife team make up the Peace Fleece staff who source wool from farmers and shepherds in eastern Europe, central Asia and the Middle East in an effort to set aside historic differences in hopes to make economic interdependence. Quite a lovely story.

A new shipment of Skinny Laminx fat quarters arrived at the shop over the weekend. I am in LOVE with Heather’s fabric and have already started a little pile that I plan on making new couch pillows with. Hurry in, the hoarding has already begun!
