My good friend Cindy has quite the impressive mitten collection going on. With winter right around the corner, she sure is ready to fight those below zero temperatures that we tend to get in Vermont. Are you?
Stop by the shop for inspiration, patterns and yarn!
Definitely a leg warmer kind of day.
Swans Island yarn came out with an organic ecowash dk weight in rich colors such as cayenne, verdigris, cumin, aubergine and eucalyptus. This machine washable yarn is soft and squishy and is sure to become one of your favorite go to yarns, as it is quickly becoming one of ours!
Be sure to stop by and see what Stephanie is working on for a shop sample!
nido’s monthly craft meet up is tomorrow night from 6:00 – 8:00. Bring a project to work on and a snack to share.
See you at the shop!
The Date Night Dress + Simple Slip from April Rhodes has made its way to the shop.
Check out the adorable flutter sleeves!
If any of you have made the Staple Dress and are looking to expand your handmade wardrobe, this is definitely the way to go. The Date Night Dress is a simple garment with flutter sleeves and a shirttail hem, adding a bit more flair to a closet basic.
The Simple Slip is a versitile piece that can be worn alone, under summer dresses, layered or even worn to bed! I am really looking forward to making this dress!
Four years ago nido looked like this…
and then this…
At some point we switched thing up to look like this…
And another rearrange took us here…
Now we have a new birthday to celebrate, as well as a new look.
Please join us in celebration of our 4th year! Sunday October 13th from 2:00 – 5:00. There will be fun, treats, prizes and 20% off storewide.
Thank you all for another wonderful year!
Cowls are fantastic for the colder months and they knit up super quick which makes them the perfect gift knitting. YES! We are already thinking about our handmade holiday here at the shop! The Cirrus Cowl from Swans Island Yarns was a pattern that I was drawn to immediately. Paired with the String Theory Caper Sock Yarn, a great squishy fingering weight yarn that is 80% Merino, 10% Nylon, and 10% CASHMERE, the Cirrus Cowl makes for a luxurious accessory that is both functional and fashionable. String Theory yarn has quickly become one of my favorites and I loved the color Shale for this project. There is enough variegation to keep everything interesting, but it is subtle enough that it doesn’t over power the cable pattern of the cowl.
